Number 4: Don’t go from one idea to the next, too quickly. When you develop a marketing campaign, don’t jump from your spa features, to your outdoor features, and then to your dining features. Pick one idea and focus solely on that before delving into the next campaign.

Number 5: Promote your unique selling point (USP). What makes you ACTUALLY different? That one thing is what will set you apart from the rest and attract the right guests that will keep coming back AND recommend your boutique hotel to their community.

Number 6: Don’t use up all of your USP’s in one campaign. To avoid confusing your viewers, each campaign should have its own USP. Too many USP’s in one campaign can leave your guests feeling overwhelmed and confused.

Number 7: Reach out to the boutique hotels that are doing it RIGHT. There’s a good chance they started out just like you and understand how difficult it can be to nail down bookings. You can even offer them the strategies you have tried and turned out to be a bust, that way they don’t waste their time doing the same. Then, maybe they’ll be willing to share some of their success with you!
